London Fashion Week: Bloggers Show Us Their #FiorelliStyle

This London Fashion Week, three of our favourite bloggers stepped out in true #FiorelliStyle! We just simply had to share their fabulous looks featuring our Autumn/Winter 14 collection.

The ever-so-chic Andreea of Dreaming of Chanel styling her Layla Satchel in monochrome. Nothing screams Autumnal warmth more than neutral tones, throw on a pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses and transform your look into effortless Parisian glam.

Purr for fur! - Faux fur that is! This season, it's all about texture and more texture. The lovely Hattie of  Project Rattlebag pairs her Kayla Hobo with a large floppy hat and lace kimono for laid back hobo chic.

The fabulous Julia of Stylonylon reminds us that tartan is always a classic A/W trend. She styles her Mani Tote in tan with a tartan cape and tan loafers, which are both stylish and practical.

Were you out and about showing off your #FiorelliStyle during London Fashion Week? If so, we'd love to see your glamorous pics! Share them with us @ Fiorelli_Bags on Twitter or @fiorelli_bags on Instagram.

New Season Fiorelli Has Landed

The evenings are drawing in, warm layers are coming out to play and right on cue, our autumn collection has landed. Take a peek at the latest batch of arrivals to hit Fiorelli HQ. Let the handbag haul begin!

Loretta

Last year, burgundy stole the colour show but this season will see raspberry take the reigns as focus shifts to softer shades of red. Enter the Loretta, a sleek hobo style bag complemented by luxurious gold detailing. The slouchy shape is ideal for day dressing and looks great styled with an all-black ensemble. For the daily dash, the work commute or the high street, Loretta is your go-to girl.
And there’s good news for colour shy bagaholics, the Loretta is also available in black and monochrome mix!

A key accessory focus this season is the formal backpack. Celebrities such as Pixie Lott and Mary-Kate Olsen are all over the trend and it’s easy to see why. No more cramming possessions into a small satchel, backpacks are spacious and can hold all your essentials. Best of all, we can sling the Lexi over our shoulders and travel hands-free.

Stylishly understated, this is a take-anywhere backpack for work, play and everywhere in-between. Wear yours with a turtle neck, skinny jeans and Chelsea boots.

Kayla

One of the best things about colder climates is the opportunity to wear delicious new knits and gorgeous faux fur. This strokable bag is super luxurious and will add a dash of glamour to even the most casual outfits. Complement a sophisticated evening look with this statement piece or experiment with shearling for that medieval, Game of Thrones vibe.

Imogen

The bowling bag was first created for women who wanted a stylish place to store their bowling essentials, and although times have moved on, many women still choose bowling bags for their unusual, retro shape. Featuring an emerald green aesthetic and stylish bag charm, the Imogen is a rework of the classic bowling bag.

Channel this season’s sixties throwback by tucking this bag under your wing and styling it with a patterned shift dress, winged eyeliner and a pair of Mary-Janes.

If all this talk of handbags is burning a hole in your pocket, head over to the New In section of our website to view the full collection. Have you got a favourite style? We’d love to hear about it. Tweet us @Fiorelli_Bags.

The Big Screen: 2014’s Most Stylish Films

When it comes to style, it’s not just runways and glossy magazines which provide sartorial inspiration- fashion designers often borrow from the big screen when creating collections. Similarly, the discerning dresser can take much encouragement from fashion flicks. Let’s take a look at the 2014 film releases which made us want to race through the cash tills with a stockpile of clothes under our wing.

The 2 Faces of January

Kirsten Dunst looks a vision of beauty in this stylish film noir based on a married couple who get caught up in a tragic love triangle whist holidaying in Greece. Film noir fashion is often seductive and dazzling, and Dunst is certainly dressed to kill as the only female lead. The sixties dresses crafted by costume designer Steven Noble for the film exude chic, but it’s Dunst’s accessories which really bring it all together.

Headscarves, glamorous sunglasses, elegant straw hats and peep toe sandals cement the film in the ‘60s and the pastel hued outfits are a feast for the eyes. Contemporary film noirs have never looked so good.

The Grand Budapest Hotel

When it comes to fashion, you can always rely on Wes Anderson to pull a showstopper out of the bag. The film legend is the brain behind visually outstanding films such as The Life Aquatic and The Royal Tenenbaums with costume designer Milena Canonero serving as his noble steed.

The latest offering from Wes Anderson is set in the fictional republic of Zubrowka and focuses on one candy floss coloured hotel; The Grand Budapest. When regular hotel guest Madame D dies under suspicious circumstances, the hotel’s lobby boy and senior set out on a dangerous mission to discover the truth behind the tragedy.

As for the costumes themselves, they’re not anchored in any specific era but the general style of principal characters is ornate; fur coats, pearl earrings, regal brooches, flashes of gold etcetera. The Anna Sui A/W 2014 collection was actually inspired by the rich colour palette worn by actress Tilda Swinton (Madame D) in the film.

From impressive, choux pastry tier cakes to head-turning lobby costumes, Wes Anderson films are impeccably executed from opening scenes right through to the final credits. Couture fans should consider TGBH essential viewing.

The World’s Most Incredible Honeymoon Destinations

Getting married is a fantastic feeling and choosing a honeymoon destination is the icing on the cake. Don’t let the dilemma of where to go stress you out- take a leaf out of team Fiorelli’s book as we share our fave honeymoon destinations.

Best for All Out Luxury: Four Seasons, Bora Bora

Famed for its azure turquoise ocean, remarkable scenery and tropical climate, Bora Bora is arguably the most beautiful island in the world. Situated in the French Polynesia, the breathtaking Four Seasons resort is surrounded by a barrier reef and the remains of an extinct volcano.

If you’re an ocean lover, escape to the resorts incredible over-water bungalows which are perched in the sea on stilts. Scared of swimming? Landlubbers can opt for plush on-shore villas stretched along a pristine private beach.

Unwind in your own private villa pool, treat yourself to a holistic treatment, challenge your partner to a game of tennis or simply eat, drink and be merry at 4 themed restaurants. Feeling adventurous? The resorts delivery dining experience allows guests to eat lavish lunches on a canoe in the middle of the pacific.

Now, if only we could just find someone to pop the question…

Best for Elegance: Hotel Ciprianai, Venice

Despite its cult status and celebrity clientele, Hotel Cipriani still manages to feel intimate. Hidden away on an island in the Venetian region, the Cipriani experience starts from the second your plane touches down on the runway.

You’ll be collected in a custom-built boat which will sail into the heart of Venice before arriving at the stylish hotel. From opulent marble bathrooms to full length windows offering unrivalled vista views, the hotel exudes elegance.

Full of 18th century charm, the dining room is a particularly grand affair. From the iconic Cip’s Club to the regal Oro restaurant, each area has been designed by architect Adam Tihany to reflect the romantic mood of Venice.

Indulge in Michelin-starred Italian cuisine, dine under a luxurious golden ceiling or gaze at the picturesque lagoon from the poolside bar. It really doesn’t get any better than this.

Best for Something Different: Loisaba, Kenya

Staring up at the African night sky from an open-air four poster bed sounds unusual, but at Loisaba Wilderness resort in Kenya, it’s just part of the experience.  Dive into a world filled with wild animals, majestic scenery and soul revitalising fun at this East African retreat.

Raft down the rivers of Ewaso Ngiro, witness tigers and lions up close on a safari drive and enjoy the freedom of this unspoilt land.

Whether you’re looking for an exhilarating horse ride on the same turf as a herd of zebra or serene candlelit dinners away from it all, the Wilderness resort is a truly unique honeymoon experience.

Fiorelli’s A/W 14 Trend Predictions

Put your best foot forward this A/W by taking style inspiration from Fiorelli. From block coloured brights to sixties retro chic, nail your new season wardrobe ahead of everyone else.

Don’t let the September chill stop you from braving brights, this season is all about abstract colour blocking. Dynamic shades of emerald green and post box red mixed with classic colours give autumn a dynamic new direction. Blue will be this season’s showstopper with cobalt and powder shades taking precedence over other hues.

Heat up your bright ensemble with flat footwear and a new season handbag such as the luxurious Kayla hobo in black. Decadent and fluffy, it’ll glam up even the most casual outfit.

Flat footwear is having a moment. Reigning supreme on catwalks and urban concrete, it’s the most comfortable trend to hit the racks yet. Pulling off the look is all about getting the proportions right. Style those patent loafers with tailored crop trousers or an A-line skirt. Avoid teaming your ballerinas with pleated skirt silhouettes or wide-legged trousers unless you’re tall enough to work it.

When it comes to wearing your flats stylishly, there’s something about showing your ankles off that looks so much better than hiding them under full length skinnies. Pair those slip ons with slim fit jeans which come up above the ankle bone for easy elegance.

The sixties are in reboot mode this season. Shift dresses refashioned with a modern twist, vintage look oval shaped handbags, peep toe sandals and winged eyeliner are all set to shine. Give your sixties threads an update by pairing classic pieces with contemporary. Team a 60’s tunic dress with a bomber jacket to give it an edge or freshen up a staple roll neck with a denim jacket.

Work the trend with our Imogen shoulder in emerald. A guaranteed head tuner, the bowling bag shape is reminiscent of the sixties and will make any outfit pop.

Will it be the swinging sixties or flat footwear frenzy which takes your fancy this A/W? Let us know your favourite A/W trends by tweeting us @Fiorelli_Bags or leaving us a comment below.
